About the founder of Nowhere Gallery

Hi, I am Coyan Chiu, I interest in photography, so I studied the media production program at Hong Kong City University in 2011. Luckily I have been obtained the best Final Year Project Award when I graduated.
​
After that, I have been a photographer and engaged in different types of jobs in the photography industry. (Film, Magazine, Product……)
​
Now, I had left the photography industry but I still interesting in photography. 
​
When I worked in the photography industry I found out the problem of some people still believed only knew how to use roll-film or digital camera as a real photographer.

Moreover, the dispute between traditional equipment of photography and smart-phone i.e. Iphone is never stopped as well as most people think the smartphone is a big step back in the photography industry. Some professional photographers think that using a smart-phone to take a photo cannot be known as a professional photographer, they just take a normal photo.

As a result, I want to create a platform for anyone who had an interest in photography so they can post their photos in Nowhere Gallery to the public and invite some master photographers to share their works or comment.

Nowhere meaning for everywhere and Now Here, anywhere can be Gallery.
